2018-06-06IRPC joined in signing MOU in Cooperating to manage plastic waste sustainably

      Mr. Sukrit Surabotsopon, President of IRPC Public Co., Ltd. signed MOU in cooperating and declared the support to propel "Government, business and civil society projects to manage plastic and waste sustainably" whereby the plastic industry, The Federation of Thai Industries, member of the Thailand Business Council for Sustainable Development (TBCSD), the private sector and Thailand Environment Institute understand the gravity of the problems and have initiated the project to involve all parties to express its intention and commitment to support the project in tackling the problem of waste and promote the sustainable use of plastics for a period of not less than five years in accordance to the Circular Economy with the goal to reduce plastic waste in the Thai ocean by 50% by the year 2027.  The partnership included the government sector, business sector and civil society of more than 20 institutions.  The event was held at the Eden Zone, Central World Bangkok on June 5, 2018.
      IRPC is one of the private sector organizations that promotes and supports waste management and encourages Thai consumers and entrepreneurs to develop their knowledge and behavioral adaptation to the environment by using plastic responsibly and sustainably which is in line with IRPC's philosophy in developing business alongside with the maintenance of natural resources, the environment, and the quality of life of the community.
