Sustainability Management in Environmental Dimensions Circular Economy Opportunities and Challenges Circular economy is an alternative environment oriented economic concept being used around the world to manage the accumulating plastic waste today. This, coupled with the drive to combat global warming and the wider issues of climate change, the quest for low-carbon society or net zero emissions by 2050, is what encourages the world to switch to products with higher recycled content. EU carbon taxes aimed at reducing carbon footprint of imported products is one of driving forces for IRPC to adopt circular economy as an integral part of our sustainability strategy to ensure sustainable growth. Material Issues Level of circular economy maturity according to the British Standards Institution: Framework for implementing the principles of the circular economy in organizations - Guide (BS 8001: 2017) Applying Circular Economy Principles in PTT Group’s business operations in order to meet the 3rd Level of Circular Economy Application, referring to BS 8001: 2017, by 2030. Assess the level of circular economy maturity for PTT Group, referring to BS 8001:2017 for self-assessment, acknowledging the circular economy maturity level. Establish a management strategy in line with the circular economy while retaining the 3Rs concept (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). Focus on building networks for Post Industrial Recycled (PIR) and Post Consumer Recycled (PCR), as well as optimizing the use of natural materials. Continuously increasing circular economy projects to increase the opportunity for adding value to existing businesses by producing Recycle Compound Resin, such as PP Recycle Compound, PS Recycle Compound, ABS Recycle Compound and Bio Compound products.
