IRPC Public Company Limited emphasizes the importance of quality system management, safety, occupational health, and the environment. This is applied throughout the company’s operational areas so as to enable the organization’s sustainable development while balancing its business and social initiatives through adherence to environmental good governance.

 

Rule of Law

Operate in line with the law and regulations while perceiving the QSHE as the primary standard.

  1. Submitting environmental progress reports to relevant government offices every six months and will be publicly available online through Office of Natural Resources Environmental Policy and Planning’s website http://eia.onep.go.th/index.php (Thai version only).
  2. Reporting the details of the amount of waste produced to all relevant government offices every year.
  3. Consistently monitoring the industrial hygiene and environment of operational areas.
  4. Conducting social, environmental and health impact studies for all projects which are within scope as part of the process to prepare the EIA reports, which are required by law and which must be prepared in compliance with the criteria, methodology, regulations and guidelines for EIA report preparation under the Notification of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and other relevant laws.

Ethics

Ensuring the rightness, giving back to society, treating employees fairly, and promoting mutual development among people.

  1. Setting up IRPC learning centres in communities.
  2. Mobile medical projects to provide check-up services for local people every year.
  3. Annual medical check-up for employees.
  4. Treating employees equally in terms of employment, job development and occupational progress.
  5. Medical services for communities through the “Pan Nam Jai Clinic” (medical clinic) campaign
  6. Disseminating medical knowledge for local people.
  7. Projects which provide occupational support for communities.
  8. Voluntary projects.

Transparency

Focusing on rightness and information disclosure.

  1. Installing a “display board” so that local people can monitor air quality results.
  2. Holding an “open house” so that relevant officials from local communities and government offices can make an interval visit.

 

Participation

Giving an opportunity for employees and stakeholders to propose new ideas for formulating preventive measures.

  1. Public hearings for stakeholders to propose new ideas.
  2. Setting up multilateral committees to help propose, plan and create mutual understanding between the organisation, communities and all relevant government offices.
  3. Creating a good working environment and listening to the opinions of employees.

Recognizing the importance of Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR), and attending to all public problems, as well as taking responsibility for all results of the company’s actions.

Environmental Policy & Management System

 

IRPC operates accordingly to its mission of achieving excellence and sustainable growth with full awareness to quality, security, safety, occupational health, and the environment (QSSHE) in line with the international standard. The company has, in place, a process to integrate several management systems into one system in order to achieve effectiveness operations. The environmental management system is part of IRPC’s Operational Excellence Management System (IRPC OEMS), which has been regulated in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001, ISO45001, ISO50001 and ISO31000. This Policy is applicable to all IRPC Businesses across value chain including production, products, services, distribution and logistics, and companies 100% owned by IRPC, Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures. Newly acquired businesses or sites must conform to IRPC’s Policy within 24 months of an acquisition or sooner. Moreover, IRPC expects business partners, such as associate companies or other investments, non-managed operations, where we do not have operating responsibility, as well as principal contractors, suppliers and others licensees, outsourcing partners with whom we have a substantial involvement, to maintain compliance with IRPC QSSHE Policy.
