PTT Group’s “Innopolymed” plant opening ceremony
On October 7, 2022, Mr. Auttapol Rerkpiboon, President and Chief Executive Officer, PTT, Mr. Kris Imsang, President and Chief Executive Officer, IRPC, Dr. Buranin Rattanasombat, Chief New Business and Infrastructure Officer, PTT / Chairman, Innobic (Asia) Company Limited and Mr. Chawalit Tippawanich, Former President and Chief Executive Officer, IRPC joined in the opening ceremony of non-woven fabric plant manufacture melt blown formed fabrics, spunbond and multi-layered nonwovens with annual capacity of 5,600MT at IRPC Industrial Park in Rayong Province; commercial production commenced in 2nd quarter of 2022.
Innopolymed use Phthalate-Free Polypropylene (PP) developed and manufactured by IRPC to produce non-woven fabric which is safe for consumers. Produced from PP melt blown grade, this non-woven fabric made from melt brown technology offer nanometer or micrometer fiber with high-quality filtration while spunbond and multi-layer nonwovens offer strong protection against liquids and germs, suitable for medical consumables and hygiene products such as N95 face masks, medical gowns and filter, PPE, baby and adult diapers.
