IRPC joind forces with PTT- Boon Rawd to develop innovative renewable materials to reduce consumption of resources for sustainability
On November 1, 2023, Mr. Kris Imsang, President and Chief Executive Officer, IRPC Public Co.,Ltd. Mr.Prasong Intaranongpai, Senior Executive Vice President, Downstream Business Group Alignment, PTT Puclic Co.,Ltd. and Mr. Piti Bhirombhakdi , Executive Vice President of Boonrawd Brewery Co., Ltd. signed Memorandum of Understanding to develop innovative residual material from production to generate Returnable Equipment in accordance to the concept of Circular Economy, using resources efficiently and cost effectively without affecting the environment with the implementation of pilot project to recycle prototype products such as crates and replaceable soda bottles made from rPET and rHDPE Pallet made from rHDPE malt residue. This project reflects IRPC’s commitment in developing technology to add value and maximize use of resources by changing used single-use plastics to renewable products through the “POLIMAXX” brand products which entails variety of products including recycles and bio-based products.
This cooperation is an important step in accordance to the Circular Economy guidelines with a joint goal to propel sustainability which is in line with the National Strategy’s Bio-Circular-Green Economy (BCG) economic model. In addition, IRPC joined in mobilizing ESG, by setting goals and organizational guidelines to aim for Carbon Neutrality by 2050 and Net Zero Emissions by 2060 for a sustainable future.
