IRPC and EPP Donate 11,000 Plastic Sheets to Prostheses Foundation for 13th Year

IRPC and EPP have partnered for the 13th consecutive year to donate 11,000 plastic sheets to the Prostheses Foundation, which will be used to produce prosthetic legs free of charge for people in need.

Ms. Arisara Suthasut, Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary at IRPC, represented the company during the donation. The Prostheses Foundation, represented by Clinical Professor Niwet Nantajit, Secretary and Executive, received the donation.

IRPC has been a consistent supporter of the Prostheses Foundation and its innovative plastic pellet, Polimaxx PP Copolymer 3340H. Developed in collaboration with the foundation, this plastic pellet possesses characteristics such as translucency, smoothness, flexibility, and strength. In total, IRPC has donated 33 tons of these plastic pellets. The pellets are delivered to Eastern Polypack (EPP) Co., Ltd., which uses them to manufacture prosthetic legs for the Prostheses Foundation, allowing individuals with amputated legs to receive prosthetics free of charge for the 13th consecutive year.

Additionally, IRPC actively participates in meetings discussing the progress of the “From Wastes to Walk” project. This initiative involves collecting leftover PP plastic parts from the production of prosthetic sockets from various sources, including the Prostheses Foundation’s Chiang Mai Office, the Royal Prosthetic Leg Mobile Units, and 95 other royally bestowed prosthetic leg factories nationwide. IRPC takes responsibility for recycling these PP plastic parts by incorporating them back into the recycling process. The company then provides recycled plastic sheets to its network partners involved in the “From Wastes to Walk” project. These partners utilise the sheets to produce body accessories for patients and individuals with disabilities.

By consistently supporting the Prostheses Foundation and actively engaging in recycling initiatives, IRPC demonstrates its commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to helping those in need.
