Rayong’s “Jae Boonchuen” Smart Farming Garners Accolades
The Learning Centre and Integrated Agricultural Tourism at Yai Da Garden, “Jae Boonchuen,” a part of IRPC Smart Farming in Rayong, have been honoured with two outstanding awards in the categories of Learning & Doing and Low Carbon & Sustainability at the 14th Thailand Tourism Awards.
The proprietors of Yai Da Garden, “Jae Boonchuen,” IRPC Smart Farming, Ms. Boonchuen Bodhikaew and Mr. Manat Bodhikaew, are committed practitioners of agricultural techniques aligned with the philosophy of economic sufficiency. They achieve this by engaging in hybrid farming and eco-tourism. Through the integration of local wisdom, innovative energy materials, and IRPC’s knowledge and technology, “Jae Boonchuen,” IRPC Smart Farming, has not only increased agricultural production and modernised development but also established itself as a prominent learning centre and eco-tourism destination. It embodies values of environmental sustainability, societal welfare, and community empowerment, benefiting both the local area and farming communities nationwide.
Additionally, “Jae Boonchuen,” IRPC Smart Farming, is recognised as a pioneering farming model that encourages innovative approaches. This includes the Soil Doctor Clinic, offering soil enhancement through the use of innovative zinc oxide nano fertilizer, known as “White Bear Fertilizer.” The farm has also installed a floating solar renewable energy system with a 5-kilowatt capacity to generate electricity for cultivation. This initiative promotes the use of clean energy and maximises the sustainable use of available farm spaces.
The Thailand Tourism Awards signifies a mark of excellence in tourism products and services, underpinned by sustainable standards. It acknowledges award recipients as proponents of Responsible Tourism, encouraging businesses to elevate their standards for product and service quality. These efforts contribute to the development of “White Tourism,” characterised by convenience, cleanliness, safety, fairness, and eco-friendliness, ultimately enhancing Thailand’s tourism sector on the global stage.
